Problem Statement: Design a house for a Saudi Arabian family including grandparents and siblings
Concept statement:
Reciprocal coherence is created in spaces through objects that consistently correspond to each other. Geometric decoration reflects in abstract from the underlying order found in nature, relating the internal environments with their external surroundings. Repetition and variation join small patterns together to compose symmetry and rhythm on a larger scale. Light pierces through voids, blurring the positive and negative spaces. Decoration becomes an integrated part of the structure rather than just meeting aesthetic purposes. Private areas are accessible through a progression of spaces that advances from the public areas to form a unified environment. Harmony created through all of these aspects makes a consistency in the built and perceived environment.
